RCMP lay charges against a man in Tisdale for threatening to shoot his family

RCMP have charged a man after he threatened to harm his family.

At around 1 p.m. yesterday, RCMP responded to a complaint about a man on his way to shoot people at a home in the Tisdale area.

Officers from Tisdale, Hudson Bay, Melfort, and Prince Albert secured the family members before the suspect arrived.

The 37-year-old man was quickly located and arrested without incident.

He is charged with uttering threats and assault with a weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, dangerous driving, and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.

The man will appear at Melfort Provincial Court this morning.
