Strengthening Families Program Will Proceed with Revised Programming

Prince Albert Strengthening Families Program is happy to announce we will be proceeding with revised programming this summer, in accordance with the Government of Saskatchewan guidelines & safety precautions.

What we know so far:

· SFP is free! Fun! And full of incentives!

· Families will receive snacks & take home meals on day of programming, transportation is included and we are looking at multiple options to accommodate babysitting.

· Programs will occur in the daytime (afternoons) once to twice a week from mid-July to August (6-8 sessions per program)

· We are accepting applications for Caregivers & their children in both Kid (7-12) and Teen (12-16) programs!

· Sessions help with communication, conflict reduction, emotional management, family dynamics and networking.

· Families in the program qualify for free counselling at CFSPA (in-person, phone or video), which also includes transportation if needed.

· Programs will be smaller to adhere to physical distancing and gathering size limits.

· Applications can be made by phone, text, fax, website or email. Each family will have to meet with SFP staff prior to enrolment to ensure suitability for participation.

As we look to ‘begin again’ in this new normal, there will be new challenges. However, SFP remains hopeful and excited to offer an inclusive program that works to reduce barriers and empower families. The number of programs we run will be dependent on the number of applications received & approved prior to start date, so please share, submit applications and contact us with inquiries.
