Career Opportunity for Full Time – Director of Clinical Programs & Services

This is a leadership position that is an active member of the leadership team and reports directly to the Executive Director. This position is responsible for the administration and management of Physician & Nurse Practitioner Services, Medical Office Assistants, Minor Surgery & Nursing services and management of the satellite clinic in Canwood.

The position ensures an optimal level and quality of service, adequate staffing levels to meet program needs and manages financial and human resources for the areas of responsibility, including hiring, dismissal, discipline, orientation, scheduling, completing performance reviews and supervision consistent with the policies of the Co-operative Health Centre.

Specific areas of knowledge, skills and experience include:

· Initiate and coordinate primary health care programs and services within the organization and promote the concept of primary health care within the community.

· Efficient and effective delivery of the program services and the management of related resources.

· Initiative and Creativity in program design and delivery.

· Excellent computer skills and working knowledge/experience with software programs, specifically Electronic Medical Records (Med Access)

· Ensure contractors/employees meet standards, guidelines and legislation required by the professional associations.

· Develop and monitor program goals and objectives including identifying performance indicators and program evaluation.

The successful candidate will have three years health related experience in a supervisory, managerial role in a health care setting or will have a combination of health care post-secondary education with extensive working experience in health care administration. Nursing experience would be an asset.

A working knowledge in primary health care delivery and community health centre management would be very advantageous for candidates.

Medical Laboratory Technologist (CLXT)

STATUS: CASUAL

PAY GRADE: As per CUPE Local 3963 – In Scope ($29.46-$31.54)

HOURS AND DAYS

OF WORK: Monday to Friday 8:00-4:30 pm (as required)

PROBABLE DATE OF

COMMENCEMENT: As soon as possible

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Performs laboratory duties for the detection, prevention, and management of physiological and pathological conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS: Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology Diploma including

Therapeutic Drugs/Drugs of Abuse Training Certification and/or equivalent education and training.

Active membership with the Saskatchewan Association of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technicians (SACLXT) a/o equivalent professional association.

KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Intermediate data entry skills

· Communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently

· Organizational and analytical skills

· Interpersonal skills

· Valid driver’s license, where required by the job (mobile lab collection)

EXPERIENCE: At least three years current consecutive experience performing lab tests
