Three suspects facing charges after vehicle stop

Three people are facing charges after police seized multiple items, following a vehicle stop in Prince Albert Thursday evening.

According to a media release from the Prince Albert Police Service, the Integrated Crime Reduction Team (ICRT) seized multiple different types of drugs, digital scales, bear spray, cell phones, drug paraphernalia, and more than $60,000 in cash.

The trio are facing drug and weapon-related charges after the vehicle stop in the 4400 Block of Second Ave. W. at 6 p.m. The police also did additional vehicle searches at a residence at the 1100 Block of 14th St. E.

The Police also found a loaded 9-mm handgun, more than 580 grams of crack cocaine and 330 grams of methamphetamine.

A 42-year-old man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, breach of release conditions, and possession of the proceeds of crime.

A 22-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man are charged jointly with various charges. Some of these include possession of the proceeds of crime, possession for the purpose of trafficking and multiple firearms-related charges.

The 28-year-old man is also charged with breach of probation and a court-ordered firearms prohibition.

All three are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
