About the Exhibition: Due to COVID-19 the Mann Art Gallery’s annual High School Juried Art Show has been moved to an online format on the Mann Art Gallery website: www.mannartgallery.ca. The exhibition is going live on Friday, May 15th and the six award winners will be announced on Thurs, May 21st. The exhibition was juried and curated by Danielle Castle, Acting Educator, who received over 80 submissions from students in Prince Albert and area.
Online Reception & Awards Night: The awards will be presented on YouTube as a Premiere Video, cross-posted to Facebook. Local musician LJ Tyson will be performing original songs and present a message to the students on the video. The watch party will begin at 7:00pm on Thurs, May 21st. There are six different awards being presented:
1. Best in Show (in honour of On the Avenue Artisan’s gallery)
2. Artistic achievement
3. Juror’s choice (John V. Hicks award fund)
4 Juicy Colour (in honour of Cheryl Ring, local artist)
5 Creative Clay (in honour of Cheryl Ring)
6. Artistic Innovation (in honour of Prince Albert Council for the Arts)
7. The Peoples’ Choice Award. Exhibition viewers have until June 20, 2020 to cast one vote by email, after which the winner will be announced.
