The Herb Bassett Home, Pineview Terrace and Mont St. Joseph Home in Prince Albert are among the many beneficiaries of a donation being dispersed to Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) long term care facilities across the province.

According to a media release, the SHA, and Westcap Mgt. Ltd. have partnered up to donate 330 iPad’s to long term care facilities to help residents connect with their families.

With help from the COVID-19 Hospital Fund and the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation and Royal University Hospital Foundation, Westcap has donated $250,000 to pay for the iPad’s and data plans.

“At the most difficult times, Saskatchewan people naturally come together, lend support, and do whatever they need to in order to help others,” said Grant Kook , President, CEO and founder of Westcap. “People in this province take care of each other. The acts of kindness and humanity is something positive that is coming from this crisis, and it is a humbling experience for me to witness.”
