Tianna Shaylynn Gatto
March 8, 1998 ~ April 10, 2020
With broken hearts full of love for Tianna Shaylynn Gatto we said good-bye to our lively, precious girl. Tianna, or “T” as she was better known by those close to her, left us suddenly and far too soon at just 22 years old on Friday, April 10th, 2020.
Tianna was born March 8th, 1998 in Blairmore, Alberta. In true “T” fashion, always keeping everyone on their toes, she arrived early. Much to her Grandma Woolf’s disappointment, Tianna wanted her own day and not the one the Surgeon scheduled for her to share with her Grandma.
Tianna was so many things to so many people in her short time with us. She was a special little sister to her brother Taryen, despite often acting like his big sister. From the time she could crawl she would tag along with him, always wanting to learn something. They spent many miles traveling together across Alberta and the northern United States whether it was for camping, family trips, dance competitions, or so she could be the true hockey sister she was. From learning to her ride her bike without training wheels after he pushed her around for miles, she graduated to competing with him on their dirt bikes and eventually to rivaling him in the auto sales industry. Through all their time together she always had his back, was his rock, and became his one true best friend, earning them the nickname “T’nT”. Tianna’s first-born cousin Raegan, “RT”, was also very special to her. They grew up becoming more like friends. They went on many adventures together, always saddling horses, and Lundbreck Falls was their favorite spot.
Tianna’s life was always an adventure. Her early years were spent in Southern Alberta in the Crowsnest Pass and Lundbreck areas with her family. She made many friends, and always remained connected to them even after she left. She played baseball, Gymkhana, loved to ride her horses, and go camping and fishing. After moving to west central Alberta, Tianna’s charismatic personality brought her new treasured friendships and adventures. Tianna’s final adventure brought her to Prince Albert where she experienced even more friendships and accomplishments. Most important to her, she got her Dad, Brad Brule, and a little brother, Brycen, that she adored bugging and racing her dirt bike with. Tianna was very protective of those she loved, and the same was true for her Dad and little brother. She was quick to correct you if you called them her stepfamily. Tianna was blessed with her biggest achievement in 2015 when her daughter Brooklyn was born. Brooklyn brought Tianna so much love and maturity, and Brooklyn showed the independence she learned from her mommy when she would always win the “I love the most” argument. Tianna was insistent only her “Brookie Bug” would be her escort for her graduation in 2019. Tianna was dedicated to and proud to be part of the team at Riverside Dodge and shared her growth and enthusiasm with that to every person she could. Making others happy, putting others first, and being there for whoever needed love and support, no matter her own issues, was a passion of Tianna’s. As such, her friends described her as fearless, independent, loving, courageous, and compassionate. Anyone who knew her knew she was ready with a witty remark and always had to have the last word. Tianna made time to cruise around or drive the back roads with her friends and would often rope them into letting her “help” turn wrenches. Family was important to her and she always enjoyed her family time at the farm, whether it be wiener roasts, snowboarding, or sliding with Brooklyn down the snowbanks. There was never a visit she didn’t ask her Dad to take something out for a “burn”, be it the quad, sled, his classic car, a truck, or even farm equipment. Things that were described as bullet proof were soon proven not to be Tianna proof. Tianna had an indescribable love for animals which resulted in her smuggling a lot of animals she thought needed rescuing home, so it was no surprise when she brought her horse or a goat in the house.
Rest easy beautiful soul, until we meet again.
