Drug trafficker to remain behind bars for another two years
One of four people arrested last summer in connection to a drug bust in Prince Albert, has been sentenced.
Steven Geisler, 28, appeared via video Wednesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court. The 28-year-old received a 26-month sentence for a number of weapons and drugs related charges dating back to a police investigation last July. He entered guilty pleas this morning.
He also received an additional two months for a charge last February, related to failing to comply with a court order that prohibited him from associating with one of his co-accused. Based on credit for time already spent in custody, Geisler has roughly 675 days remaining.
On July 17, 2019, police executed search warrants at three separate addresses in the city and seized a number of cellphones, a loaded handgun, and various quantities of shatter, cocaine, and marijuana.
