Team Silvernagle and P.A.’s Thevenot part ways, Lawton leaves

After their second Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Team Robyn Silvernagle did some reshuffling.

They parted ways with lead Kara Thevenot, who is from Prince Albert.

“Kara is hoping to continue playing and is currently looking for a new team,” the statement said. Thevenot did not wish to comment further.

And third Stefanie Lawton, who grew up near Shellbrook, has “stepped back from competitive curling” to spend more time with her family.

Skip Robyn Silvernagle and second Jessie Hunkin will stay on the North Battleford-based club.

The four made it together at the past two Scotties Tournament of Hearts. They finished just outside of the top-four playoffs this year in Moose Jaw, and ended with a bronze medal in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
