Gotaas signs with the Raiders
The Prince Albert Raiders announced on Tuesday that they signed prospect defenceman Graydon Gotaas to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.
The Raiders drafted Gotaas in the second round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. He has five goals and nine assists in 26 games with the Sherwood Park Kings in the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League. He also played in four games of Junior A with the AJHL Bonnyville Pontiacs.
“Graydon is a hard-nosed defenceman and he moves the puck extremely well,” said Raiders general manager Curtis Hunt in a statement. “We’re very excited to add him to the organization.”
Gotaas’ uncle Steve Gotaas is part of Raiders history, as Steve was on the 1985 Memorial Cup championship team. He scored 32 goals and 41 assists in 72 games that year with the Raiders.
