August 8, 1930 – January 19, 2020
Mabel Evelyn Larson passed away peacefully on January 19, 2020 at the age of 89 in Kinistino, SK, at Jubilee Lodge. Mabel was the longest resident at Jubilee at the time of her passing.
Mabel was born in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan on August 8, 1930 to Carl and Annie Larson. She lived with her parents and younger sister in Parkside, SK, Canwood, SK, and finally settled in Prince Albert, SK where Mabel resided for most of her life.
Mabel devoted much of her time to her church and the community at Crossroads Pentecostal Church in Prince Albert. She was named “the Prayer Queen.”
Mabel was a nurturing caregiver for the Zatlyn girls for many, many years helping raise them as if they were her own granddaughters.
Her family could always look forward to a card in the mail for birthdays and Christmas. Mabel never missed one over the years. Mabel hugged like a sumo wrestler and always gave big smacker kisses.
Mabel was predeceased by: her parents: Carl and Annie Larson; her sister: Judy Reder; her brother-in-law: Albert Reder; and her nephew: Brad Inkster. Mabel is survived by her niece: Sandy (Tony) Gesyler; her nephew: Barry (Lore Cire) Reder; and Sally Inkster. As well as numerous cousins, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
