Ty Norman Stone
Ty Norman Stone passed away suddenly on January 13, 2020 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 20 years.
Ty was born on April 27, 1999 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert and lived all of his life in the Redwing country residential area north of Prince Albert, SK. Ty attended elementary school in Redwing and studied for his high school years at Carlton Comprehensive High School in Prince Albert. Ty graduated from high school in June of 2017. After High School, Ty entered the workforce undertaking various jobs, from working with his Uncle Randall at his plumbing business to working at Prairie Recreation where he was employed at the time of his passing. He was looking forward to attending post-secondary education at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in September studying to become a Millwright.
As a boy growing up, Ty was very active in hockey beginning at IP level and then graduating from hockey as a second-year bantam. He spent many days at the rink making lifelong friendships and learning the meaning of hard work and teamwork. Ty and his brother Cody were part of the Saskatoon Cart racing circuit from 2008 to 2010. As a family, Ty and Cody won the season family class, and Ty came second in his individual class. Ty was passionate about anything he could drive, he began snowmobiling before he could walk, and that progressed to his dirt bike and his quad. In the neighbourhood, he was known as one of the young kids who was getting air as he drove his snowmobile or the bike from ditch to ditch and jumping over the neighbours driveways. Over the past five summers, you would find Ty at Christopher Lake wakeboarding and surfing with his friends and in the winter you would find Ty ice fishing with a spiced rum in hand waiting for the perfect catch. Ty enjoyed music and spending time with his friends and would drive down to the Craven Country Thunder music festival to have fun and party with his friends. Once Ty was able to drive, at the age of 16, he purchased his first vehicle, and over the next four and a half years he would buy and sell 23 more vehicles owning his 24th vehicle when he left us. He would buy low and sell high with a keen eye for a deal. Above all else, Ty’s number one passion was to travel to the mountains to hit the peaks and the fresh powder to snowmobile with his friends and family. His goal this winter was to make the journey five times because next winter he would be in school and would not be able to make the trip. Ty spent the last four days of his life sledding in the mountains near Revelstoke, living his life to the fullest, doing what he loved with his friends.
Ty will be lovingly remembered by parents Lisa and Lyndon Stone; brother Cody Stone (Shelby); the family dogs Alfie and Ike of Prince Albert; grandparents Joyce and Norman Stone of Tisdale, SK; grandmother Mary Hayunga of Prince Albert; Uncle Rodney Stone (Aunt Sandy) of Tisdale, SK and cousins Dallas Revenko (Scott) children Cole and Hadely, Jennifer Powell (Matt) children Page and Blayke, Kalegh Stone son Beau; Uncle Randall Stone (Aunt Pam) of Sicamous BC and cousins Phoenix Giffuni (Yohants) child Avery, Danny Stone, Kyle Stone (Kelcie); Uncle Duane Hayunga (Aunt Christa) of Prince Albert, SK, Stephen Hayunga (Tristan) children Emmerson and Luke, Justin Hayunga.
