The Prince Albert Raiders have brought in some help in goal.

Late Friday night, the team announced the acquisition of 2000-born goaltender Keegan Karki from the Everett Silvertips in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.

The 6’5″, 210-lb goaltender is in his first season in the WHL, having spent the last two years in the USHL.

“We have watched Keegan very closely over the past month,” Raiders General Manager Curtis Hunt said in a statement. “We like his size, his athleticism, and we believe he has great pro potential. We feel he is just coming into his own.”

Karki has appeared in 14 games with the Silvertips this year and has accumulated a record of 8-1-1-1, with a 3.19 goals against average and a 0.897 save percentage.

In 2017-18 with the Muskegon Lumberjacks, the Sartell, MN native played in 41 games posting a record of 24-16-0-0 along with a 3.20 goals against average and a 0.890 save percentage.

The Raiders now have three goaltenders on the roster, with Karki joining Boston Bilous and Carter Serhyenko.
