Racers take their mark at Summit Run
Even as the rain began to fall, racers took their marks at Prince Albert’s largest running event.
Upwards of 450 participants lined the Rotary Trail Saturday for the 13th annual Summit Run, each prepared to take on a 2K, 5K, 10K or half-marathon trek.
“We have a fantastic local representation and we have people from Saskatoon and Regina. This year and we even have two international participants,” Lisa Evans, race director said. “It is a great avenue for people to be active in the community and it is a great way for people who have goals to come, finish the run and we can help them celebrate that.”
The race was strictly for fun and brought together runners and walkers of all ages. The event is held not only to promote outdoor activity and athletics but works to raise funds to complete the Rotary Trail.
