Usau notches point for Belarus in losing effort

Ilya Usau notched another point at the U20 Ice Hockey Championship in Minsk.

The Prince Albert Raiders forward is playing for the host team from Belarus along with his Raiders teammate and fellow countryman, Aliaksei Protas.

Usau had an assist on the team’s first goal in a losing effort Tuesday against Latvia who took the game by a score of 3-2 in overtime. Team Belarus now has one win and one loss under their belts.

Team Belarus has one win and one loss under their belts following a loss to Latvia at the U20 Ice Hockey Championship in Minsk.

The Latvian team downed the host team by a score of 3-2. The deciding goal came in overtime.

The pair will be back in action Thursday when Belarus takes on Norway.
