Audrey Barlow

Audrey Hilda Barlow 1915 – 2010 Audrey was born in Bath, England November 5, 1915. After the death of her husband Harold Whitcombe in 1952 she immigrated to Canada with her son David and her parents Bill and Lily Cole. They arrived in the Tweedsmuir District in 1954. She married Walter Barlow and settled in the family farm. After Walter passed away in 1970, she moved to Christopher Lake where she resided with her son John. In 2004 with failing health, she moved to the Herb Bassett Home in Prince Albert. She will be remembered as someone who enjoyed life with her great sense of humor. She enjoyed the friendship of others and also her love of many dogs and cats that she fostered over the years. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Walter; her parents Bill and Lily; her aunt and uncle Mabel and Ben Burbridge and her cousin Nancy Martynuik. She is survived by her sons David (Wanda) Witcombe and John; her daughter Hilda (Mike) Kobylak; her granddaughters Lorri (Rick) Smith, Sharon (Barry) McLeod) and Scandson Scotty Kobylak; also her great grandchildren Lucas, Jennifer and Jason. She will be long remembered by her friend Gwen Coburn who was always there for her. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
