Nancy Russell

Nancy was born in Saskatoon, SK on September 29, 1948 and passed away on October 29, 2010 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 62. She married Warren on December 3, 1966 and in 1968 Darren was born, then Wendy in 1970. The grandchildren started coming in 1991 with Tyler, then Tanner and Brennan finally a girl Mykayla and ending with Tarren. Nancy loved spending most of her time with her children and grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to hang out at any of their activities that they were involved in and never missing a moment of their lives. Nancy worked at the CIBC for 32 years, where she had many valued friends and loyal customers. She had a great sense of humor and never missed the opportunity to play a practical joke on someone regardless of their age. Nancy’s greatest treasures in life were her family and friends. Nancy lived life to the fullest surrounded by family and friends. Her favorite saying was “Life is not how many breaths you take, but how many moments take your breath away.” Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Warren; son Darren (Cheryl) & their sons Tyler, Tanner and Tarren; daughter Wendy (Vaughn) Vermette & their children Brennan & Mykayla; sister Bev (Carl) Klarenback; brother George (Julie) Crowe; sister Heather (Frank) Lambertus; sister-in-law Betteann (Robert) Curniski; brother-in-law Kirk (Heather) Russell; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and their families; as well as friends. Nancy was predeceased by her parents George and Nettie Crowe; mother and father in-law Albert and Mabel Russell and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Mr. Brian Clarke officiating. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9 or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
