Nettie McCormick

Nettie McCormick March 4th, 1929 – December 11th, 2010 Nettie passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital on Saturday, December 11th, 2010 with her family at her side. Nettie is lovingly remembered by husband of 60 years Glen; two daughters, Glenda (Rob) Beattie of Saskatoon and Janet (Brian) Zelensky of Meath Park; two sons, Don (Bev) McCormick of Kimberley BC and Grant (Michelle) McCormick of Saskatoon; 12 grand children; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Fred (Wuanita) Hucul of Tucson, AZ and Sandy (Shirley) Hucul of Phoenix, AZ and sister Mary (Walter) Pringle of Surrey, BC. She is predeceased by brother, Mike (Helen) Hucul of late of Vancouver, BC. Nettie was born in Eston, Saskatchewan in 1929. She Married Glen in Moose Jaw in 1950, and their first home was in Eston. They settled in Prince Albert in 1960 where Nettie raised their 4 children. When the children were older, Nettie worked in various jobs in the community. She enjoyed people and loved her job in the bank. Nettie loved to sing, and cherished her time with the Sweet Adelines in Prince Albert. The family moved to Saskatoon in 1975. Nettie had a great flair for fashion and always looked her best. The family expresses their appreciation to the nurses and doctors at RUH for their wonderful care and compassion which made Nettie's passing much easier. Interment of cremated remains will be at a later date. A private family service is planned for Tuesday, December 14th, 2010.
