Marie Brunsdon

Marie Elizabeth (Lyons) Brunsdon was born February 18, 1917 at Loverna, SK and she passed away on February 15, 2011 in Prince Albert. In 1922 the family moved north to Holbein area. Marie married Cyril Brunsdon on May 5, 1944. They farmed at Deer Ridge until retiring to Prince Albert in 1979. Marie played organ at church and for community events. She enjoyed curling and being a leader for 4H Homecraft Club. Marie is survived by her sisters Devessa Blair and Rena Boise; her brother Victor (Eva) Lyons; her brother-in-law Don (Irma) Brunsdon; her sisters-in-law Vera Abdai and Margaret Lyons and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Cyril; her brother Harry Lyons; her sisters Therma (Clyde) Stead, Gwen Lyons and Ella (Korey) Holmen; her brothers-in-law Leonard Blair, George Boise and Sydney Brunsdon and her sister-in-law Hazel (Clinton) Wedow. Thanks to the staff at Loewen Care Home for their excellent care over the past 4 years. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Gray’s Funeral Chape, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Tony Thompson officiating. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to CNIB, 1705 McKercher Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7H 5N6 or Charity of Donor’s Choice.
