Reg was born in the sub-district of Bucklebury, England on July 12, 1914 and immigrated to Canada with his parents and siblings at the age of 14. The Harris family settled in Leslie, Saskatchewan where Reg attended school and worked as a farmhand before moving to Elfros, Saskatchewan. Reg enlisted with the RCAF in 1941 and rose to the rank of Sergeant before being discharged in 1945. On September 16, 1944 Reg married Pauline Arngrimson and together raised four children on a farm just north of Spruce Home. Reg managed a mixed farming operation, worked part time building roads and later became foreman at the Prince Albert Forest Nursery retiring after 19 years of service. During his years on the farm, Reg was an active member and delegate with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and a director with the Prince Albert Co-operative Association. He loved playing and coaching baseball, was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing with his children. In 1966, Reg, Pauline and their children moved to Prince Albert. In their senior years, Reg and Pauline became active members of the Senior’s Heritage Centre, enjoying many years playing cribbage, carpet bowling and going on bus tours. Reg was a devoted Raider hockey fan and loved to travel with Pauline on the fan bus throughout western Canada and the United States. Reg devoted his adult life to his loving wife, children, and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all. Reg is survived by his loving family: his children, Brian (Barbara) Harris of Prince Albert and their children Laura (Kevin) Johnston of Saskatoon and their children Rowen and Nathan; Dwayne Harris of Saskatoon and his sons Bennett and Theron; Lee (Crystal) Harris of Prince Albert and their children Andrew, Olivia and Luke; Judy (Glenn) McMullen of Prince Albert and their children Lynnel (Jeff) Reinson of Santiago, Chile and their children Dane, Keaton and Ella; Blake (Jennifer) McMullen of Saskatoon and their children Presley and Lincoln; Craig (Pat) Harris of Prince Albert and daughters Nicole, Jessica and Cassandra; Cheryl Beale of Prince Albert and sons Bryce of Kamloops and Tyler of Prince Albert; by his sister Dorothy Magnusson of Regina; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
