There is a gift in life we cannot buy
That’s very rare and true
It’s the gift of a wonderful husband,
Like the one I had in you.
The many things you did for me
In your kind and loving way
You gave me years of happiness
No one can take away.
A smile I will always remember
A voice I will always recall
Memories to treasure forever
Of one very dear to us all.
Your resting place I visit
I put flowers there with great care
But no one knows how much it hurts
To go away and leave you there.
Treasure him God, in your garden of rest
For as far as husbands go, he was the best.
