Gordon Rathburn

Gordon Grant Rathburn passed away at Union Hospital, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on March 1, 2011. Gordon was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on July 3, 1945. Gordon was a resident of Valley View Centre, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan since he was 21 years old. Over the years he worked in the ceramics and wood-working shops until they closed. At the present time he was working in the laundry. Gordon loved fishing and gardening. He loved to watch T.V. and play Wii games. Gordon is survived by his mother Gertie Wilson; his nephews Jordan Zerr and David Hunter; his niece Correlyn Zerr; and numerous children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the Late Wm. Ray Wilson. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Laraine (Rathburn) and Clarence Zenner and his stepfather Wm. Ray Wilson. Thank you to the staff at the I.C.U., Union Hospital, Moose Jaw and to Dr. Majid. A big thank you to the management and staff at the Valley View Centre for the excellent care Gordon received over the years he resided there. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Valley View Centre, P.O. Box 1300, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 4R2 Moose Jaw, SK with Father Carlos Jimeniz officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to Valley View Centre, Iroquois Cottage, P.O. Box 1300, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 4R2 or to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
