Pauline Jacobson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pauline Jacobson (nee Markewich) on Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Pauline was born on June 22, 1939 at Prud’homme, SK. She went to school in Prud’homme, then moved to Prince Albert to work. That is where she met husband George Jacobson. They were married on May 24, 1958. She worked side by side with George on the family farm. Pauline enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and her bird watching. Pauline is survived by her family Linda (John) Chobotuk of Snowden, Lori of Prince Albert, Lillian (Brian Andrews) of Spruce Home, Lianne (Brian) Lafond of Spruce Home, and her son Lonnie of Spruce Home; her grandchildren Rikki Chobotuk (Cory Hucul) of Saskatoon, Lanci Chobotuk of Prince Albert, Tyson and Ranee Lafond of Spruce Home; her sisters Mary Sienko of Ontario, Jean Cull (Bill) of Ontario as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George (2002) and her parents Albert (1974) and Marcella Markewich (1965); her brothers Tony (1956) and John (2002); and her sister Ann Furman (1986). Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. A Private Family Interment will be held. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
