Julien was born on Friday, March 1, 1935 in Tisdale, SK and passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 76.
Julien is survived by his loving family, his wife of 53 years Phylis (Smith); his son Bernie (Constance) and his children Brandy (Ken) Ward, Richelle (Dave) Klein, Dawn (Andrew) Skwerniuk, Trudy LeComte and Reneé LeComte (Shawn Smith); his daughter Rhonda (Greg) Adams and their children Janelle Adams (Sean Konkin), Jessie-Lee Adams (Adam Basaraba); his son Devren and his children Chelce and Kiera; his son Kenton (Tracey) and their children Kailee, Kyle and Dallas; his 10 great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters Beatrice Pelletier, Lucille (Frank) Relland, Terry McMahon, Yvette Smith, Rocky (Margaret), Ernest (Mona), Lucien (Loretta), Marcel (Amelia), Leonard and Juliette (George) Hill; his brothers-in-law sisters-in-law Ovila (Ruth) Smith, Mary (Lou) Gagnon, Marie (Fred) Markowski, Ray (Joylene) Smith, Franklin (Marlene) Smith, Anita Teichrob, Darrel (Sally) Smith, Diane (Allan) Stangby, Ben (Debbie) Smith, Jeff (Carol) Smith, Monica Ethier (Terry Pugh) and Gayle (Jean Fines) Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Emile and Zelia (Turcotte) LeComte; his brothers René LeComte and Lionel LeComte; his parents-in-law Theophile and Lillian (Nicolas) Smith; his brothers and sister-in-law Ted Pelletier, Bill McMahon, Bert Smith, and Marius (Evelyn) Píché and Frank Teichrob.
Julien completed his heavy duty diesel mechanic course from Red River Community College in Winnipeg, MB. He loved to camp, fish, travel and take part in his children’s sports activities. He was happiest when he was driving his motor home and spending time with his family. He also loved to help anyone who needed their vehicle repaired and was always willing to offer his experience to anyone in need.
Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2011. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Both services with be held at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with celebrant Reverend Father Tuan Doan. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Red Cross, 54 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
