Beatrice passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital with family by her side.
She was born and raised on the family farm. In 1931 she married Samuel Foster and started her married life in the house located on the Foster family homestead in the Dryden District. In the winter of 1942 when Sam went north to cut lumber for a new home she took care of their children and maintained the livestock. Neighbors and family were welcome and often came for cards. With visitors meals were always offered as well as the abundant baking. Gardening and canning kept her busy in the summers. In the later years camping with family was a favorite pastime. She always loved to have her grandchildren nearby. In her years at the Weldon Villa, cards, puzzles and knitting mitts for her family including her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren kept her busy.
Beatrice is survived by her children Helen (Gerald) McLachlan, Dale (Janice) Foster, Keith (Leona Walters) Foster, Marilyn (Terry) Dubois and Murray (Judy) Foster; daughter-in-law Avis Foster; 24 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; in-laws Freda Brown, Grodan and Frankie Grambo as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
