Arvid Lee

Arvid Lee passed away peacefully at the Melfort Union Hospital on June 1, 2011.
Arvid and his identical twin brother (Arthur) were born at Invermay, Saskatchewan on the family homestead on Sept 9, 1935.
Arvid met and married Violet (Manson) Larson on June 28 1980. Arvid’s children Ken, Carla, Kevin, Crystal and Don joined Violet’s children; Darlene, Les and Brent and became a blended family.
Arvid was employed with the Melfort School Unit for 22 years. He attended Church at the Park Avenue Bible Church. He belonged to the Melfort Elks Lodge and in 1994 he joined the Wheatland Good Sam Club. He greatly enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing and spending time teasing his grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Arvid spent the last eight months residing in Parkland Place where he suffered with Diabetes, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
Surviving Arvid is his loving wife Violet, five children; Ken Lee (Minda), Carla Dolphin (Terry), Kevin Lee (Tracy), Crystal Lee, Don Lee (Lisa). He is also survived by three stepchildren Darlene Boyle (Michael), Les Larson (Karen) and Brent Larson (Theresa) as well as sixteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be missed.
