Jules Clement Lahaye
LAHAYE, Jules Clement, late of Prince Albert, SK. It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden and peaceful passing of Jules (Tommy) LaHaye on July 3, 2011.
Jules was born July 2, 1918 to Herman and Bernadette LaHaye of White Star, SK. He attended school in White Star. Dad enlisted in the Air Force in 1941 and served until 1945. In 1943, Jules married Henriette Guedo. They lived in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, where Dad was stationed. After he was discharged, they returned to the Prince Albert area, where they lived and farmed in the Red Wing District. During this time he had multiple jobs, including McDonalds Consolidated and Molson Brewery. After retiring from Molsons, Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling across Canada and abroad.
Dad and Mom always had a large garden and he shelled many five gallons of peas and they froze the garden produce. He enjoyed the kitchen, helping plan and prepare meals. He attributed his longevity to eating farm grown vegetables and his glass of homemade raspberry or chokecherry wine with dinner. He enjoyed home life with his children and grandchildren around him.
Jules is survived by his wife Henriette; his children: Julie (Eldon) and their children Barret and Janine, Dianne (Wilfred) and their children Guy and Shannon (and great-grandson Damian), Maurice (Wanda) and his children Nicole and Adam, Gregory and his children Keith (Jamie), Jennifer (Billy), Randy (Candace and great-grandson Jeremy); his brothers: Claude (Isabelle), Anthony (Teddy), and Oscar (Norma); his brother-in-law: Lucien Gagnon; his sister-in-law: Adele LaHaye; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jules was predeceased by his parents: Herman and Bernadette LaHaye; his brothers: Peter and Frank; his sisters: Gaby, Rose, Annette and Marie-Louise; and his brothers-in-law: Mayo Poudrier and Joe Paskewich.
