It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend Diane Reed, on July 10th, 2011 at the age of 70 years after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Diane was born in Gorlitz, SK in August, 1940. She was educated in Yorkton and Regina and had a long and successful career with SGI. After her retirement she became involved with the Royal Purple and worked tirelessly for many charitable causes. She enriched the lives of everyone she met with class and style.

She is survived by her loving husband Dale, daughter Lorelae Lemaire, granddaughters Melissa and Sarah Lemaire; her sister Trudy (Bryan) Johnson; sisters-in-law Myrna Fidyk and Mavis (Murray) Wall, brother-in-law Lawrence (Joyce) Reed and numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Sam and Margaret Moniuk and in-laws Harvy and Vonnie Reed.

Friends so wishing may make memorial contributions to the Saskatchewan Elks Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Our Lady of Consolation Roman Catholic Church – 104 Crawford Ave. W., Melfort, SK. Father Alberto dela Pena will officiate.
