Stephen Arthur Robert Loucks
August 8, 1968 – July 15, 2011
Stephen was born in Brandon, Manitoba on August 8, 1968. He lived most of his life in British Columbia and Alberta and moved to Prince Albert in 2002. He worked for many years on the oil rigs and ran his own landscape company in Edmonton. More recently he was working for the Sunnyside Co-op at Emma Lake building a drainage system.
It is with sadness that Stephen’s family announces his passing at the Victoria Hospital in the early morning of Friday, July 15, 2011. Stephen is survived by his parents Avril Loucks of Edmonton and Robert Loucks (Ursula Westphalen) of Prince Albert; his sisters Troy Loucks (Lola Noel) and Lallie Loucks (Waren Orr) of Edmonton; his brother Dennis Loucks (Tammy Fink) of Red Deer; and his nieces Alivia and Maeve Orr of Edmonton. Stephen was predeceased by his grandparents Arthur and Marguerite Loucks and Stephen and Lallie Niven. He was a good son, brother, loving uncle, helpful neighbour and friend. He will be sorely missed.
There was a Public Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West. A Memorial Service to lay him to rest was held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel with Reverend Tony Thompson officiating. Interment was held at St. Mary’s Cemetery following the Service.
