Marjorie Lorraine Nelson was born on September 30, 1931 in Carragana, SK. She passed away on July 27, 2011 in Saskatoon at the age of 79 years.
In her younger days she really enjoyed baseball. She also enjoyed travelling, especially to the mountains and going camping at Candle Lake. She took great pride in managing the Struthers Lake Regional Park, particularly the flowers.
Some significant accomplishments were raising her children and watching her grandchildren grow.
She wants her family to remember her for never giving up.
Marjorie is survived by her loving husband Oluf; her children Joyce (Lloyd) Spencer, Lorretta (Roger) Tolofson, Barrett (Susan) Nelson, Janet (Richard) Jackson and Geordie (Tara) Nelson; her son-in-law George Marchand; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; her brothers Gordon (Lu) Watt, Billy (Elaine) Watt, Macky (Bea) Watt, John (Pat) Watt and Jerry Watt; her sisters Edna Beecher and Marion (Pete) Boyko; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Jacqueline Marchand; her son Jackie Nelson; her parents Jack & Signe Watt; her brother Donald and his wife Mildred Watt; and her brother-in-law Floyd Beecher.
A Private Memorial Service was held from Fedusiak Funeral Chapel on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave MacPherson officiating. Interment followed in the Norden Lutheran Heritage Site.
