Gayle Boychuk (Nazar)
(May 7, 1951 – September 2, 2011)
Gayle passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, September 2, 2011 at the age of 60.
She left to mourn her special companion and spouse, Joe Macina of Wynyard; four cherished and loved daughters, Tania (Brad) Woodfield of Winnipeg, Tabitha (Jason) Brandrick of Prince Albert, Tricia (Arnold) Boychuk of Saskatoon, and Tracey (Richard) Boychuk of Foam Lake; their father, Wilfred Boychuk of Clemenceau; special grandchildren Cole, Nicholas, Alex and Ilyahna; sister Laurel (Brian) Okrainetz of Preeceville; and her mom, Gladys Nazar of Preeceville. Mommy is now in Heaven in the safe arms of Jesus and reunited with her dad, William Nazar, whom she loved very much.
Gayle was born May 7, 1951 and was raised in Preeceville. She met Wilfred Boychuk and they married in 1970. They then moved to creighton where they raised their four daughters. Gail dedicated most of her working life to Canada Post with her “families” in Creighton and Wynyard post offices. Everyone that came in was sure to see her radiant smile each time. As well as, she enjoyed watching her daughters figure skate and was an active member within the Sportex Figure Skating Club.
Since 2004, Gayle had spent her life in Wynyard raising her Kidden’s kittens and watching those kittens have babies. “Momma B” was a very caring, charismatic, selfless mother to all who knew her. She always extended a helping hand without question or judgment – which left an imprint in many hearts. To know Gayle, was to love her and she will forever be in our hearts.
If anyone would like to extend their condolences to her family, you can contact Donna Giest at (204) 687-0412. A small family service will be held on Monday morning to celebrate and remember Gayle.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Jodi Spelay, the ER team, and the nursing staff on the 7th floor at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon.
Donations can be made in memory of Gayle to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan and/or Manitoba – where her grandchildren reside.
