(June 28, 1934 – September 17, 2011)
Karl Heinz Schacht passed away peacefully after struggling with Brain Cancer on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert at the age of 77. He was born on June 28, 1934 in Berlin, Germany.
Karl will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years Shirley (nee Delorme); his daughter Kim Yeager of Lake Lenore, SK; his son Rod Schacht of Prince Albert; his grandchildren Adam (Robyn) Yeager, Eric (Raelene) Yeager and Petra Yeager all of Lake Lenore and Alex Schacht of Lucky Lake, SK; his great-grandchildren Aiden and Jake Yeager and Calli Yeager all of Lake Lenore; his sister Petra Vollmer and nephew Axel of Berlin, Germany; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Vern and Doreen Turner of Prince Albert, Jean Symon of Kinistino, Norm and Joan Delorme of Saskatoon, Horst and Loraine Kruger of Prince Albert and his special cousin Joyce McBeath. He was predeceased by his parents Erich and Gertrud; his sister Bridget “Gitti”; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Fred and Helen Delorme; his son-in-law Ronald Yeager; his brothers-in-law Raymond “Trapper” Delorme and Ronald “Barry” Delorme; his sister-in-law Ione Delorme and his niece Dianne Turner.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 22 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Mr. Gary McDonald will officiate. Interment of cremated remains will take place in South Hill Cemetery. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Canadian Cancer Society.
