Anthony Arnold Balicki
(August 20, 1921 – November 29, 2011)
Anthony Balicki passed away on November 29,2011 at Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home. Tony was born on August 20, 1921, on the farm (36-48-24W2) in the community of Claytonville. As a youth, Tony helped open up the country by clearing bush to establish his farm where he raised prime Charolais cattle and grew bountiful grain crops. His gifted hands enabled him to do most of the mechanical repairs and yard building. Tony was known to enjoy working in the bush, hunting and working at the construction of the Pulp Mill.
Tony is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ann (Krywicki); his three sons, David (Valerie), Adam (Lesia) and Barry (Shelly) and his seven grandchildren, Shaun (Susie), Cara (Crosby), Jennifer (Brian), Matthew, Quinn, Madison and Colton. He was predeceased by his parents in 1954; two brothers; 4 sisters and his cherished granddaughter Tanya.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with celebrant Reverend Father Tuan Doan. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donation can be made to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation, 777 – 28th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 8C2.
