Ruth Naomi Hodder
(January 31, 1927 – December 27, 2011)
Ruth passed away peacefully at the Herb Bassett Nursing Home on Tuesday, December 27, 2011.
Leaving to mourn her precious memory are her son Ted (Vivian) Hodder of Prince Albert; her daughters Betty (Garry) Mesher of Goosebay,, NL, Melvina (Dave) Norris of Winnipeg, MB, Loretta (Kenny) Eaton of NC, USA and Judy (Tania) Hodder of Unity, SK; her son Rick (Kim) Hodder of Prince Albert; her son-in-law Lem Clarke of Prince Albert; her 12 grandchildren and her 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by Stanley, her beloved husband of 52 years in November 2006 and her eldest daughter Shirley in 1995.
Originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, Ruth moved to Prince Albert in March 1979. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Hill, Herb Bassett Home, for the wonderful care they provided for her during the last year of her life.
Family and friends may pay their last respects at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29 at River Park Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30 at River Park Memorial Chapel. Major Glenn Patey will officiate. Interment will take place in the Garden of the Old Rugged Cross, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that those preferring to place memorials may do so to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Salvation Army.
