December 18, 1931 – January 10, 2012
Otto was born on Dec. 18, l931, to John and Agnes Nagy. Yellow Creek was home for a good part of his life. Otto had a variety of interesing jobs throughout his life. He did farming, mining in Manitoba, Seismic surveying in Northern Alberta and the Arctic area, logging, worked at a sawmill, Yellow Creek Hotel owner, and mixed farming, and a few others.
Otto marrried Adeline (Grundmann) in 1988. Together they owned the Yellow Creek Hotel for a few years before moving to the Gronlid area. Together they had a small farm with a small saw mill. They built a home there and they did farming, with cattle and pigs and lots of other farm animals and birds. Otto enjoyed feeding the wild birds and deer that wandered through the yard. Otto loved a good game of Kaiser. There wasn't a Kaiser game that he would turn down. Another enjoyment was reading.
Otto was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman and was the happiest when he was outdoors. Every time you came to the farm there was a new building or fence somewhere.
Otto is survived by his loving wife Adeline, stepson Larry (Donna) Nagy and their sons Brent (Chantel), Craig (Nicole), Neil (Terrai) and stepson Danny (Brenda) and their daughters Angie (Ryan), and Ashley (Lance). He is also survived by brothers Rudy (Emily) and family, Eugene and family, Robert (Eileen) and family, his sister Irma (Lawrence) Jacques and family and his brother-in-law Louis Sloboda, and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Agnes Nagy and by his sister Grace Sloboda.
