Doris was predeceased by her parents Carl and Edith Paxman and her brother Owen “Bud” Paxman. Dori was born at the Smeaton hospital on March 28, 1936 and moved to Prince Albert with her family. Dori was one of the first clients at the Kin Workshop where she met many new friends and really enjoyed her work there. Later Dori moved from home to the P.A. Group Home # 1 on Branion Drive. She liked her time at the home and the activities that they provided which included hockey games, bowling and such. Dori moved to her present home at Mont St. Joseph on October 14, 2003. She loved her bright and cheery room and quickly made many new friends. Most of all she loved to wheel her chair up and down the hall where she was greeted with smiles and visits with the staff and friends alike. The love given to Dori from all at Mont St. Joseph was obvious from the start and she loved it there right to the end. For this we would like to extend our appreciation and thanks for the excellent care given to our sister. Interment of cremated remains will take place in the Garden of Devotion, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that those preferring to place memorials may do so to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca.
