Judy Anne Boyer
BOYER – Judy Anne was born on January 26, 1950 and passed away on March 13, 2012 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. Judy (nee Tait) grew up on a farm in the MacDowall area. She went to nursing school at SIAST in Saskatoon and took more training in North Battleford. On November 6, 1971 Judy married Elmer Boyer. As a nurse, she worked at City Hospital for 23 years. She retired as a nursing supervisor in 2000. Elmer and Judy lived in Saskatoon from 1976 until she retired. They then moved to Asquith to a acreage where they created many new friendships. In 2007 Elmer also retired and they moved to Leask, SK. Judy became involved in the community, planning for the Leask Centennial. Judy loved camping, crafts and travelling. She was also a Girl Guide leader for nine years. She enjoyed watching sports and chuck wagon racing and hitting as many garage sales and antique shops as possible. She was an avid reader and loved learning the local history of the places she lived and visited. Judy was a ray of sunshine with a smoke in her hand with a kind word or pearl of wisdom for those lucky enough to have known her. Judy is survived by her husband, Elmer; her children, Andrea (Billy Wilson) Boyer, Monica Boyer and Jocelyn (Jesse) Anderson; her grandchildren, Kayla Wilson (Taylor Bolin), Tamara Wilson and Luke Anderson; her great grandchild, Emily Wilson; her mother, Irene Tait; sisters, Linda (Roger) Chislett, Shelly Tait and Wanda Boone; a brother, Jerry (Jeanne) Tait; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Colin Tait; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Octave and Therese Boyer. She loved and was loved by her family and many friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Henry’s Roman Catholic Church, Leask, SK. Arrangements entrusted to Hawryluk Funeral Home, Leask, SK. 466.4822.
