Steve Rohachuk, 84 years old, of Mont St. Joseph Home, Prince Albert, passed away peacefully April 5, 2012. Steve was born in Cudworth, SK, February 15, 1928. Steve is survived by Pat (nee Baranitsky), his wife of 58 years.
Steve is lovingly remembered by his four children; Elaine Lindberg (Arne) and their sons David and Dave; Dwayne and his children Stephanie and Nikolas; Ellen (Brad Stoesz); and Joan Chad (Joe) and their children Spencer and Allie.
Steve will also be remembered by his brothers Isadore (Vickie) and Don (Mary); sisters Elsie Panchuk, Ann Semeniuk and their families. Steve was predeceased by his parents Peter and Petrunella; brothers Emil, Nick, Harold and Mike; sister Phyllis Remarchuk, brothers-in-law James Remarchuk, Bill Semeniuk and Mike Panchuk; and sister-in-law Kay Rohachuk.
Steve was an accomplished journeyman carpenter. He was a master craftsman who built many homes, cabinets and furniture throughout his career. Steve was happiest when working with wood in his shop. Steve loved to go fishing and liked nothing better than helping a child have the experience of their first “big catch”! Steve also loved to play cards. Nothing made his day more than when someone stopped by and had a cribbage game with him.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Mont St Joseph who took such excellent care of Steve over the last seven years. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes can be made in Steve’s name to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation (777 – 28 St. East, Prince Albert, SK. S6V 8C2).
