Florence Duggan
Mrs. Florence Melva Duggan, of Prince Albert, SK, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the age of 92. She was born at Fairmont, SK on June 18, 1919. She was raised there and in 1936 she married Coady Duggan and they moved to Arborfield in 1945 to farm. In 1956 they moved to Prince Albert and worked in the Hotel industry. She was a participant of the Seniors Songsters and was a member of the Bishop Newham Branch of the St. David Anglican Church. She was predeceased by: her husband Coady Duggan; her parents David and Matilda Francis; her step-father Ernest Huard; her son-in-law Arnold Thompson; her brothers Elmer (Evelyn) and Clarence; her brother-in-law John Young; her step-sister Elnora Kautzman. Florence is survived by her loving family: her daughter Irene Thompson; three grandchildren Doug, Ron and Lori; four great-granchildren; her sister Mae Young; her sister-in-law Pearl; her step-sister Vera Kautzman; her step-brother Leonard Huard as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 20 from St. David Anglican Church, 500 – 24 Street East. Reverend Norbert Haukenfrers will officiate. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the St. David Anglican Church. Interment will take place in the Garden of the Last Supper, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca.
