It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of their father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend “Frank” Thomas Francis Murphy. Frank passed away peacefully on May 11, 2012 at Pineview Terrace in Prince Albert. He will be missed by his daughters Cheryl Murphy, Jeanette (Roy Huston) Murphy and Elizabeth (Josh) Baliski; grandchildren Lokota, Nathan, Ryan, Phillip, Mary, Jessa, Anthony, Liam, Jazpen, Isabelle, Kyeran and baby Sawyer; sisters Geraldine (Paul) Comparell; and Teresa Dion and many other family and friends. Frank was predeceased by his parents Doreen and Thomas Murphy; sister Bernadette Murphy; brother Eamon Murphy; brother-in-law Hector Dion; best friend John Kalyn; friend Marv Anhorn and many other family members. Frank as born on May 3, 1951 in Doncaster, England. He moved with his parents to Prince George, BC in 1957. He lived a very fulfilled life spending time in the monastery, becoming a chef, starting a family, raising 3 beautiful daughters and enjoying 12 amazing grandchildren. Frank loved working, he was a jack of all trades, a chef, manager, vacuum distributor, Watkins and Amway representative, cell phone distributor, pizza deliverer,Goodlife representative, Metis Addiction worker and lastly a Commissionaire. Some of Frank's favorite things included reading, working in the garden, fixing things, baking, cooking and creating new food dishes, he loved his coffee from Starbucks, any kind of sweets life chocolates, m&m's, apple pie, blizzards, watching CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, the news and he loved spending time with family and visiting with friends. Frank as a very dependable man with an amazing work ethic. If nobody could take a shift you could guarantee he was working a 12 – 24 hr shift. He always put others before himself, wore his heart on his sleeve, and made everlasting impressions in those he met. Frank never let his cancer slow him down, he fought for each day and was so blessed to have another day with family and friends. He will be missed by all those who knew him. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and residences of Pineview Terrace who provided excellent care, giving Frank more days to spend with his loved ones. They made his stay there a place he and his family called home. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Gray's Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK 6V 0Z9.
