Wilfred Pierre Primeau
The family of the late Wilfred Primeau announce his passing on May 16, 2012.
Born in D’amour May 4, 1920 to parents Fredrick and Marguerite Primeau, Wilfred was one of twelve children. He married Cyla Roth on Dec. 29, 1943; they were married for 68 years. They raised five children together: Annette Smith, Vic Primeau, Gladys Henri, Hazel Anderson and Cliff Primeau. Also there are fourteen grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Wilfred worked as a policeman for the Shell Lake, Spiritwood and Leoville areas. He also worked at the water and sewer plants in Spiritwood and Turtleford. They then moved to Quensel and he worked for Wellwood. On retirement they moved back to Shell Lake and moved to Leoville because of poor health. Both Wilfred and Cyla enjoyed fishing, trapping and hunting. Living with dementia Wilfred spent his last seven years in the Evergreen Lodge in Leoville. The love of his life Cyla passed away on Jan 14, 2012. On May 16th, 2012 Wilf joined his beloved, and may Jesus grant them eternal happiness and peace.
Wilfred leaves to cherish his memories: His children: Annette (Lawrence) Smith of Mildred, SK; Victor (Mary Anne) Primeau of Lloydminster, SK; Gladys (Rene) Henri of Leoville, SK; Hazel (Rodney) Anderson of Williams Lake, BC; Clifford (Jeri) Primeau of Cochin, SKalong with 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Wilf also leaves to treasure his memory his siblings: Alfred (Clara) & Elzear (Eileen), of Shell Lake, SK, Albert (Naomi) of Mayfair, SK, Rene of Tumbler Ridge, BC and Leon of North Battleford, SK as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He is predeceased by: His loving wife Cyla, his parents, Frederick and Marguerite Primeau, his brothers, Jean, Alcide and infant- Paul, and his sisters, Irene, Rose Alma, Leona and Helen.
Funeral Service for Wilfred was held Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012 at 1:00 pm from the Community Hall in Leoville, Saskatchewan.
Wilfred’s final resting place is beside his beloved wife in the Mildred North Cemetery.
