André Brulé
With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on May 30, 2012 at the Herb Bassett Home. André was the second of four sons born to Joseph and Adele Brulé of Albertville. He attended school at Emilebury. He and his brothers built a garage in Albertville named Brulé Motors. In 1952 he went to work for Waterways in the Northwest Territories and Eldorado Mining Refining Co. at Beaver Lodge, SK. André then bought a D-6 caterpillar and with his brother Wilfrid, they did land clearing, dugouts and cleared roads for oil companies. A few years later, André did land clearing for power plants in Ontario and international airports in Quebec and Ontario. On July 2, 1956 André married the love of his life, Elise Gignac and together had two children, Lilliane and Ivan. In 1962 they bought a farm in Paddockwood and farmed until 1988, then retired to Las Rocas Apartments in Prince Albert. During André's retirement he was happy to help out his son Ivan on the farm at Paddockwood and his son-in-law Don on the farm at Albertville. His hobbies throughout his life were trapping, hunting, fishing, blueberry picking, card playing and world travelling. André will be sadly missed by his wife Elise; daughter Lilliane (Louis) Hradecki, grandson Lorenzo (Krista) Brassard, great granddaughters Brooklyn and Ava Brassard, grandson Denis Brassard, granddaughters Janique (Brandon) Grimard and Janine Brassard (fiancé Derek Keller); son Ivan (Beverly) Brulé, granddaughters Lisa and Michelle Brulé, grandson Aaron (Christa) Vassie, great-granddaughter Brooklyn Vassie, grandchildren Scott (Tracy) Vassie and Layne Vassie; sister-in-law Lorraine Brulé; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. André was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Adele Brulé; three brothers Wilfrid, Romuald and Rene; son-in-law Don Brassard; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 on Friday, June 1, 2012 with Yvonne Nakonechny officiating and Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012 with celebrant Reverend Father D.J. Vu. Both services will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Albertville, SK. Interment will be held at a later date.
