Late of Paddockwood SK, passed away June 9, 2012 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 92 years. Uncle lived his life just as he wanted to- on the farm- as he said “this is the only place to be”. He farmed the land not for gains but for a healthy, happy lifestyle for his family. He was happiest when he was in the woodlot, milking the cows, threshing and all that pertained to being outdoors. He was still bucking up his own wood last fall. He enlisted in the Army in WW11 and was a member of the Regina Rifles L65088. He kept in touch with many of the “guys” he met there and each Christmas anxiously waited for a card and letter to say how they were doing. In 1973 he married Millie who added another ray of sunshine to his life. Together they would travel out to B.C. to visit with her family. He took an interest in all the families and what they were doing and a visit from them and friends was always welcomed. He is predeceased by his wife, Emelia, his parents, David & Mabel Dunn; his sister, Elizabeth Dixon; his niece, Susan Littlefield; and great nephew, Colin Fisher. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Douglas; nieces, Anne Madden and Betty Paterson; and nephews, John and Tom Dixon as well as many great nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00 am at MacKenzie Chapel. Arrangements in care of Northern Funeral Service, MacKenzie Chapel. Brian and Bev Stobbs, Funeral Directors. 306.763.8488 www.northernfuneralservice.ca
