July 30, 1938 – June 25, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Harvey Lloyd Onishenko. Harvey died peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital on Monday, June 25th, 2012 with family by his side after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is loved and remembered by his wife of 52 years, Florence, his children Maureen (Michael) Adamoski ~ Alexandra, Lauren, Ross; Darrell (Connie) Onishenko ~ Chantelle, Jerritt; Rayleen (Greg) Krysak ~ Mitchell, Trevor; Corinne (Gord) Bantle ~ Mackenzie, Brett ,Nikolas; Kyle (Wendy) Onishenko ~ Cole, Braidan; and his brother Lawrence Onishenko (Vi Young). He is predeceased by his parents Bill & Kate Onishenko. Harvey was born and raised in the Blaine Lake area and married Florence in 1959. He loved life to the fullest in farming, fishing, hunting and being with his family and friends. Harvey was loving, kind and thoughtful and touched the hearts of all that knew him. He had a special way about him and the ability to make everyone feel welcome. Remembering Harvey will be easy in each and every way, for those we love don’t leave us, but walk beside us every day. Our world will have an empty spot as Harvey moves on, but it’s a better place for him having lived in it. The family wishes to thank Dr. Iqbal and staff at the Saskatoon Cancer Clinic as well as the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital.
