Kathleen “Kathy” May Wilson
It is with deep sadness that the family of Kathleen “Kathy” May Wilson announce her passing on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 with friends by her side at Pineview Terrace Lodge in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 95. Kathy was born in Prince Albert, SK on May 1, 1917, she was the oldest daughter of Frank & Gladys Bishop. She did her schooling in Prince Albert, SK. On May 23, 1942, Kathy married the love of her life Harold Wilson. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life ….. family and sharing a home-cooked meal. Kathy took great pride in being a homemaker/housewife. Kathy loved animals, especially her dog. Walking “Puggy” gave her much happiness, especially when those walks took them three blocks up Central Ave. to visit sister Audrey and husband Des. She was well taken care of over the past 21 years at Pineview Terrace Lodge, the longest living resident residing there. Kathy is survived by her two sisters, Cleda George of Peachland, BC and Hilda Arrol of Nanaimo, BC; her brother-in-law, Desmond Dent of Winnipeg, MB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends at the nursing home. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold on Feb. 27, 1986; her parents, Frank and Gladys; her sisters …. Jessie Olson, Dorothy Simpson and Audrey Dent and her brother, Frank Bishop. A special thanks to the staff at Pineview Terrace Lodge for their care and support of Kathy. In addition, a very heartfelt thank-you to Kim Poulin, Karen Heinrich and Joan Hornung for their compassionate and loving friendship conveyed over this difficult time.
