It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of a loving wife, mother and great person Beverly Lohmaier, at the age of 68, on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. Bev was predeceased by her husband Peter Lohmaier in September, 2006. She is survived by her two sons Douglas and Robert Lohmaier; her mother Ruth Anderson; her sister Donna Haimes; her two brothers Roger and Ray Anderson; her sisters-in-law Jean McKenna and Carlene Marentes; her brother-in-law Ross Lohmaier and many other family and friends who loved her. Bev was born in Calgary. AB in February, 1944. She received her nursing diploma at the Royal Alexander Hospital In Edmonton, AB where she met Peter Lohmaier. They were married in 1966 and soon after they had the first of their two sons Doug. Bev, Peter and Doug moved to Uranium City, SK where their second son Rob was born in 1968. Bev worked at the Uranium City Municipal Hospital until 1982 when the family moved to Prince Albert, SK. After moving to Prince Albert, Bev worked at the Herb Bassett Nursing Home until her retirement in 2002. Since her retirement she had remained very active. She became an avid golfer, was involved in a bowling league, went to aquacise and enjoyed gardening. Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Gray's Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Val Bodnaryk. A Private Family Interment will be held. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the SPCA, PO Box 1832, Prince Albert, SK S6V 6J9 or to the Salvation Army in Bev's name, 900 Central Avenue, Prince Albert, SK S6V 4V3.
