Sister Alice Massé (Marie-Annette) of the Sisters of the Presentation passed away in the Provincial House Infirmary at 1405 Bishop Pascal Place in Prince Albert, SK on Saturday, September 8th, 2012 at the age of 98 years. Sister was born on February 18, 1914, in St-Hyacinth QC. She entered the congregation of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1931. She served her congregation as a cook and gardener, as an electrician, plumber, and carpenter as the need arose. Wherever she went; St Boniface, Laurier, The Pas, MB and in Saskatchewan at Makwa, Marcelin, Green Lake, Wakaw, Spiritwood, Debden, Saskatoon and Prince Albert, Sister Alice touched many hearts by her simple faith, her prayer for all in need and her good food. Her ability to relate to those in need was perhaps enhanced by her little stature – no-one was intimidated. After many years of humble service, she retired in Prince Albert where she continued to encourage and accompany her sisters in the Infirmary until she herself became a patient. She will be affectionately remembered by her Sisters of the Presentation, her caregivers and the many persons she accompanied in prayer. She leaves to mourn: her one sister Thérèse; her sisters of the Presentation of Mary as well as many nephews, nieces, friends and prayer partners. She was predeceased by one sister Armande; six brothers: Eddy, Wilfrid, Ramodor, Paul, Arthur and Omer. Prayer service will be held in the Sisters of the Presentation, Provincial House Chapel on Monday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from the Provincial House Chapel on Tuesday, September 11th at 10:00 a.m. by His Excellency Bishop Albert Thévenot.
