WENDY ANN BEAR
April 4, 1966 – September 15, 2012
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4
The CREATOR loans us so much beauty to care for, to love, and to forever Cherish…Such a beautiful girl Wendy was, and forever will be. Wendy passed into the Spirit World at age 46. Her parents were at her side. Mourning her passing are parents, Bernard and Gail; brothers Duane and Keith; sister Terri (Lyndon Linklater) & their children Lyndon Junior, Taylor, Ocean and Jewels and special nephew Malik; their grandchildren Zariah and Marius; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and her Church friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Rev. Dr. Adam and Beatrice Cuthand; paternal grandparents Walter and Lena Bear and Uncle Stan Cuthand (Jr.). Wendy graduated from Walter Murray Collegiate in Saskatoon and from Academy of Learning – the Medical Administrative Assistant Program. An injury to her leg led to years of physiotherapy. Wendy was active for many years at various Churches at Muskoday and Prince Albert. She enjoyed the friendship of many people through her involvement in the Church. Wendy was an accomplished guitar player and loved to sing in the Alliance Church Choir. She loved children and taught Sunday school and organized a three day Bible Fun Days for the children of Muskoday. Her volunteer work at the Christian Radio included making announcements, editing the Cree program with Bible stories for children. She also volunteered at the Alliance Church Library and the library at Muskoday First Nation Community School; visited elders in hospital and especially at Crean Villa. Life threw many curves – Wendy struggled with a chemical imbalance of the brain since the age of 18. This wreaked havoc with her career plans. This did not stop her from attending Arts and Science at U of S, Education at the First Nations University of Canada and finally attaining a Medical Assistant Diploma in 2008. No matter how many setbacks she experienced she never gave up. As therapy for her leg, Wendy delivered flyers for the P.A. Herald. Her life centered around her family, her community, her Churches, volunteer work and Bible study with special friend Lydia.
