EUGENE SABO
October 2, 1958 – October 2, 2012
Eugene Sabo an amazing partner, my best friend, husband, father, grandfather and big brother, passed away at the Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the age of 54 years. A celebration of Gene’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 9 at the Prince Albert Elks Club – 93 – 8th Avenue East – from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a come and go. Eugene was a very honorable, hardworking, fun loving guy, willing to help anyone. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his many fishing trips with his friends and brothers from the Elks, as well as hunting and golfing with them. He was a proud member and past Exalted Ruler of the Prince Albert Elks Club. He enjoyed playing baseball and darts. He spent the last 15 years fixing and building computers. We would like to send a special thanks to all his valued customers and friends. Thanks to all his amazing friends that have stopped by just to pop in and say hi and check on Gene. A huge special thanks to a near and dear friend to the Sabo family Dr. Nick Kriel, thank you for everything you have done for the family. Eugene is survived by his wife Gloria (Lavoie) Sabo; his son Trevor (Tara Slonski) and their son Drayson; his son Timothy (Cheryl Mitchell) and their daughter Ryleigh; his brothers and sisters Jim (Faye) Sabo, Tracy (Gus Wilson), Ronald Tilden, Robert Tilden, Kim (Dave) Wishnowski, Laurel (Doug) Cathcart; his lifetime best friend Ken Kowalczyk; his numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by: his father Frank Sabo; his mother Marlene Dodwell; his special uncle Jim Bendle; his grandparents Lester & Eva Bendle; his grandma Josephine Tilden; his dog and best friend Mickey. Interment will take place at a later date. It is the family’s request that donations be made to the MS Society. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Don Moriarty – Funeral Director.
