On Saturday, November 3, 2012, Alex passed away after a brief illness at the age of 71 years.
Left to lovingly remember him are his son, Kenneth Fisher of St. Albert, Susan Jardine and her sons, Jamie and Nicholas of Frankston, Australia; his step-daughter, Cheryl (Dave) Andrews of Edmonton and their children, Gregory of Vancouver, BC and Kimberly (Dennis) Bremault of Spruce Grove, AB; his sister, Jean Gray, Aunt Jean Grant and Uncle Ernie Fisher, all of Birch Hills, SK; also his nephews, Kevin and Kyle Gray and many other family and friends. Alex was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Elizabeth (Rattray) Fisher.
The family would like to acknowledge the special care Alex received at the Grey Nuns and University (5F4) Hospitals.
A cremation has taken place at Alex’s request, there was no funeral service in Edmonton but a Celebration of his Life for those whose lives he touched on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at the Park Memorial Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers donations were made to Alex’s favorite charity Stars Ambulance or a charity of choice.
Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with lunch to follow at the Birch Hills Lutheran Cemetery in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan.
